Salter’s Hill Charity provides services for people with a learning disability and promotes choice, independence, respect, dignity and responsible lifestyle choices.

The organisation offers a range of high quality services to meet individual need.

The organisation’s Statement of Intent is to:

  Provide fulfilling lifestyles for adults with learning disabilities.

  Support individuals in their own homes.

  Ensure that services are tailored to meet individual needs.

  Ensure all individuals are enabled to reach their maximum independence.

  Be flexible and able to adapt, as needs change.

  To enable individuals to become valued members of their local communities.

  To maintain a well motivated and appropriately trained workforce.

Salter’s Hill is a non profit company limited by guarantee and a registered charity established in 1984 to provide services for adults with learning disabilities.

As an organisation, Salter’s Hill Charity prides itself on its flexibility and on being able to adapt to new initiatives and developments in Social Care.

All individuals will be supported to make real choices and influence how services are provided

Salter’s Hill has evolved so that in addition to its existing accommodation based services it can also provide:

Home Care and Individualised Support

  A range of meaningful activities to develop skills and provide a platform for employment, volunteering and community 

  involvement.

By having a range of services, Salter’s Hill is in a good position to maintain care and support to people already receiving a service as they develop and their needs change.

The current structure of the organisation enables it to meet the challenge of providing tailor made services to those funded through a Personal Budget.
