By Volunteering
Salter’s Hill recognises the mutual benefit of volunteering. You, your skills and enthusiasm would be most welcome:
Befriending
Driving
Support for the Creative Learning service.
Leisure activities
Sharing a hobby or special interest.
Some of our volunteers also help with holiday support, sheep shows and visits to classic car rallies, the list is endless. We can assure you that whatever your life skills are from your career or hobbies nothing would be wasted and the people we support would really appreciate any time that you could offer them.

Volunteer Profile

My name is Jon Syed. Before training as teacher and then working in Steiner/Weldorf school for 43 years, I worked in a residential home for one year. I have been a volunteer at Salter’s Hill for the past 6 years. I support the people at the charity through driving to the sailing at Frampton and with hands on help on the Hortec course.
My introduction to the charity was through Steph when she was at Hereford Steiner School. When Steph moved to Pound Farm I tagged along when needed until I retired and then joined the Hortec group.
I volunteered not to make myself feel good but to help other people in a very unselfish way. You give as much time as you can but what you get back is friendship and unbounded love from the residents.
